Ultima Thule in medieval geographies was any distant place located beyond the "borders of the known world".


I can't believe I'm submitting something under the fantasy section.
This is completely inspired in one of my fav works from Böcklin: The Island of the Dead.

i would put on surreal

really an exiting pic . you look at things and recognize them as things they arent :P fun with imagination.
even more weird is the water reflection.. doesnt match the "other" side, and instead draws a road into the portal. clever, or not meant that way :)
